After several months of construction and renovations, the Seneca Nation opened the doors to its new Seneca Arts & Learning Center in Salamanca, NY. The renovated school building is home to the nation’s early childhood education, language and education departments on the Allegany Territory. The project was completed in 2015 and cost $11 million to create a space where Seneca education, culture and language could take on a new life, both indoors and outdoors on the 10-acre site. It also now has a new library and state-of-the-art classrooms. All landscape plantings are exclusively composed of local indigenous species in compliance with Seneca Nation policy.
